SIXX TAPE PRODUCTIONS
Jill Sixx Gevargizian started out like all of us; a fan of horror. However, unlike all of us, she took it a step further and continues to go that extra step constantly. In 2013, she shot her first horror short titled Call Girl with Laurence R. Harvey (Human Centipede 2) and Tristan Risk (American Mary). Call Girl made the rounds to many film fests and did very well. She has since done work with the Soska sisters (American Mary, Hellavator) and James Bickert (Dear God No, Frankenstein Created Bikers). Now, Sixx has another short ready to hit the film fest circuit titled The Stylist starring Najarra Townsend (Contracted). Check her out.
The latest venture from the folks at Horror News Network is its entertainment arm titled HNN Productions. Focusing on independent projects for horror fans, their first project will look at the classic Halloween costumes of the 70's and 80's and will debut in 2017. The film will be titled "Plastic Masks and Vinyl Smocks"
The historic Strand Theater in downtown Seymour, CT has been in operation since the early 1940's. One of the last remaining single-screen theaters in the state, The Strand is an awesome place to take in a classic film or one of their many live shows throughout the year. Be sure to check out their glorious neon marquee outside to catch what's coming up!
